Differential RX
Model 1000

The Benefits of Differential Rx

This service replaces contaminated and depleted differential/ gear box fluids with new clean fluids. Differential fluid works to cool, clean and lubricate the gears and bearings. With milage friction wears out differential fluid and additives. Additionally, small abrasive metal particles may be worn off the gears and mix with differential fluid. Water can also contaminate the oil. Adding fresh differential fluid maintains smooth gear and bearing operation, protects against rust and corrosion, and extends the life of internal parts.

How It Works

This service removes and replaces differential fluid and fluid in manual transmissions. To begin the service, all valves and switches are turned off. The “New Fluid” reservoir is filled with differential fluid. The hose with the flexible extension is inserted into the bottom of the differential after removing the differential full plug. The differential fluid must be up to operating temperature or 1000 F degrees at a minimum.

Both pressure regulators are adjusted to 15-40 psi. The used fluid pump is turned on to extract the old fluid. A desired amount of differential fluid is poured into the “New Fluid” pump. The “New Fluid” valve is inserted into the differential opening. The handle is pressed and the differential is filled to the proper level. At the completion of the service, the differential plug is reinstalled.

Recommended Service Interval

Differential and gear-box fluid should be changed at specific mileage intervals as recommended by your manufacturer. This ranges from 12,000 miles to 40,000 miles depending on vehicle manufacturer.
