Hydraulic Fluid RX

The Benefits of Differential Rx

This preventative maintenance service extracts and renews hydraulic fluid in mobile and industrial applications — vehicle lifts, parking lifts, automobiles, trucks, tractors, fork lifts, excavators, marine engines, snow plows, motorcycles, construction and agricultural equipment. According to Lift manufacturers hydraulic fluid needs to be change annually in many machines.

Hydraulic systems help provide energy transmission, heat transfer/cooling, sealant, lubrication and corrosion prevention.

How It Works

A used fluid want is inserted in place of the fluid reservoir cap. By using the “suction” side of the machine to pull a vacuum, the hydraulic fluid is removed — without spillage.

To start the fluid exchange, the machine’s tube control valves are pointed to used Fluid/Vacuum.

The 18 liter capacity tube tube will be used to temporarily store evacuated (used) hydraulic fluid.

The master control switch is then pointed to “pressure”, and the used fluid can be sent to an approved waste stream.

A toggle switch (on/off) is flipped to on and a pump inside the machine pushes new fluid into the hydraulic reservoir.

The Hydraulic service machine typically pulls 20 -22 inches of vacuum on a leak free hydraulic system. If the system has a leak, a less than normal vacuum reading will show on the vacuum pressure gauge mounted on the control panel.

Recommended Service Interval

Hydraulic fluid exchange is recommended at specified intervals set by manufacturers. A typical recommend fluid exchange is every 12 months -- or more frequently with operations that cause fluid break down.
