The DIESEL FUEL TOOL connects to the engine being cleaned by connecting it with the adapters provided to the fuel system inlet and return lines, thereby replacing the engine’s fuel tank with the fuel/solution contained in the canister.

While the engine is running at about 1200 RPM, a mixture of cleaning solution and diesel fuel is circulated through the engine’s fuel system.

Carbon and other contaminants are removed from the engine through the exhaust system and by the filter on the machine. It cleans the entire fuel and combustion system-the lines, pump, fuel injectors and combustion chambers, and particulate reactor-without having to remove engine components.

On most diesel engines the fuel system cleaning cycle is completed in under 30 minutes. With the engine off, the Diesel Fuel Tool is connected to the vehicle’s fuel system inlet and return lines with vehicle specific adapters. The fuel supply from the engine’s diesel fuel tank is bypassed and replaced with the fuel/solution tank located inside the canister system.

The Diesel Fuel Tool is pressurized to 7-15 psi. The engine is started and run at idle while a mixture of concentrated detergent and diesel fuel is circulated through the engine’s fuel system. Carbon and other contaminants are removed from the engine’s fuel system through the 5 micron or filter or exit through the exhaust pipe.
