The Benefits of Fuel System Cooling

This preventative maintenance service restores engine performance by removing dirt, carbon deposits, gums and varnishes from engine fuel systems.

It cleans the entire fuel intake system—the air plenum, throttle body, air bypass valve, injectors, ports, valves, combustion chambers, oxygen sensors and catalytic converter without having to remove engine components. This service helps restore engine performance, fuel economy, drivability, and reduces exhaust emissions.

How It Works

Simple and easy to operate, the FUEL TOOL, when used with GX-301 cleaning solution (or a solution recommended by the manufacturer), will remove carbon, gum, varnish and other contaminants from the engine’s fuel system and combustion surfaces.

Used as directed, a cleaning service will reduce emissions; restore horsepower, drivability and fuel mileage.

The FUEL TOOL connects to the engine port or via the fuel rail at the fuel test port or Schrader valve, or at the junction where the fuel supply connects to the fuel rail.

While the engine is idling, a mixture of Engine Cleans GX-301 cleaning solution and gasoline is circulated through the engine’s fuel system. The carbon and other contaminants are removed from the engine via the exhaust system.

The FUEL TOOL can also be used to clean the intake manifold, intake valves and throttle plate by utilizing the S – sprayer adapter which is included in the accessory kit.

Depending on engine size, design, and level of contamination (mileage), approximately 1 ounce of GX 301 cleaning solution is used per cylinder during the cleaning process. GX-301 has no adverse effect on engine seals or gaskets. MSDS sheets are enclosed with shipping documents and may be obtained on request.

Recommended Service Interval

Fuel Rx is recommended yearly or every 24,000 miles Also service when your vehicle has any of the following Symptoms: hard starting, lack of power, rough idle, engine stumble, Poor acceleration, engine ping, and increased fuel consumption. If our vehicle has failed an emissions test for excessive exhaust emissions, a fuel system cleaning is recommended.
