New Product Announcement - The GDI Engine Clean Service

New Product Announcement

Carbon deposits have been a problem for automobile engines since the beginning. When my father purchased his first car progress a Ford Model T – it came with an owners manual and a putty knife. The new owner was instructed to remove the head of the engine at 10,000 miles and scrape off the carbon. Some progress has been made since those days. Gasoline additives have helped engines running cleaner and automotive aftermarket companies like Engine Clean, ITW Wynns, and BG Products have developed products to remove carbon deposits

New Product

Despite this historical progress, new Gasoline Direct Injection Engines are gaining a reputation as being prone to debilitating carbon deposits. The best of our carbon deposit removal technology provides only a limited success with these new engines — which are now becomming the dominant new engine worldwide. Engine Clean is now pioneering a new carbon removal service for GDI engines. Over the next few months we will explain our new equipment and our new anticavitation cleaning solution. Our explanation, and your understanding, is based on learning a new vocabulary — and revisiting some historical scientific findings. In future newsletters we will discuss the role that en trained air, nucleation, and cavitation play in carbon deposit formation.

ENGINE CLEAN SERVICE FOR GDI ENGINES

If you are looking for new, high-value service --one with repeat business and high customer satisfaction -- you'll like Engine Clean's new GDI Service.

The Engine Clean GDI service cleans engines of carbon and oil deposits and helps restore engine performance and fuel efficiency.

The Engine Clean GDI kit include the GDI RX 777 fogging machine, 1 case of GDI-701 fogging solution, and 1 case of GDI - 702 tank additive.

If your are searching for ways to handle GDI engine symptoms --rough start, poor idle, sluggish acceleration, engine knock, loss of power and drivability problems the Engine Clean service should be part of your normal maintenance program.

ENGINE CLEAN'S NEW GDI SERVICE

New Gasoline Direct Injection engines (GDI) are fuel efficient, powerful and low emissions. Over 60 light and medium duty vehicle models of GDI engines will be sold in North America this year.

A GDI engine is defined as an engine with a fuel intake system that applies fuel directly into the combustion chamber. GDI engines burn leaner and more efficiently (GDI 40:1 vs PFI 14.7:1 Air Fuel Ratio). This translates into better mileage and power - a 15-25% improvement in fuel efficiency and up to a 50% improvement in low end torque.

A key maintenance concern with GDI engines is the buildup of a tar like coating in the intake manifold and hard carbon deposits on the back of the intake valves. A build up of contaminants in these areas can produce an engine knock and other drivability problems. These problems can develop as soon as 3,000 miles.

With previous generation of Port Injection fuel systems, gasoline additives washed oil and contaminants from the backs of valves, ports and intake manifolds--helping to keep theses areas clean. In GDI engines fuel additives cannot clean these areas as fuel is injected directly into engines bypassing intake and exhaust areas.

HOW IT WORKS

The Engine Clean GDI service removes hard carbon and sticky combustion deposits from the valve and intake areas of petrol engines. The service is performed by fogging a mixture of Engine Clean GDI - 701 through the air intake or vacuum lines while the GDI engine running at idle.

Injector and combustion area cleaning is performed by simultaneously dosing the vehicles fuel tank with the Engine Clean solution.

NEW CLEANING SOLUTIONS

Engine Clean GDI RX - 701 is used to fog the vehicle's intake system. Engine Clean solution GDI RX - 702 is used as a fuel treatment.
